The #GrowHighland Community Garden project is underway in Downtown Highland, and HCF is proud to be a donor to this project.

The Highland Redevelopment Commission approved use, by Highland Main Street, of a lot it owns next to the Central Fire Station to begin a Community Garden. Highland Main Street plans education and community building within the garden and for the food grown to go to some of Highland’s families who are in need.

Planting Day took place at the site on May 18th, with two HCF Board members among the many volunteers on hand to help. In addition, HCF has donated $1,075 toward the project.
